iOS Shortcuts

Apple uses their app “Shortcuts” which should already be installed on your phone. (if not, click here to download from the Appstore). With this app, you can set a wide range of task automations.

In the following steps, we help you set up Automatic Do Not Disturb with Timer. So every time you tap your phone on the handle or Stolp or you put your phone in Stolp, it will automatically mute all notifications.

After you set-up this Shortcut, you can download and try other automations or even make your own.

Step 1 - Download your first shortcut

Start by click the link below to instal Automatic Do Not Disturb. After you downloaded the shortcut, please return to this page.

Step 2 - Set your automation with NFC

Please follow these steps:

1. Open the 'Shortcuts' app (NL: opdrachten) and click the tab ‘Automations' on the bottom of your screen

2. Select 'Create Personal Automation'

3. Scroll down and select 'NFC' and click 'Scan'

4. Hold the top of your phone near on one of the NFC area (marked “+”) on Stolp > name it ‘Stolp’

5. Click ‘Next’ and click ‘Add Action’

6. Type ‘Run Shortcut’ (NL: voer opdracht uit)

7. Click on ‘Shortcut’ and select ‘Do Not Disturb with Timer’ (or any of your installed Shortcuts)

8. Click ‘Next’ and toggle off ‘Ask Before Running'

9. Click ‘Confirm’

Voila, your phone will now automatically activate Do Not Disturb once you tab your assigned + sign.

If you want the assign both NFC areas on Stolp to this action, please repeat this proces by scanning the other + area.

Quick FAQ

Add or make other automations?
Click the tab “Gallery” in the Shortcuts App and browse through all available Shortcuts. Repeat Step 2 if you want to link this to your Stolp. If you’re a bit tech-savy you can even make your own Shortcuts by tapping ‘+’ in the top right corner of your screen.

Want to run multiple automations with NFC?
Either (i) add multiple actions by repeating step 7-9 for the different shortcuts or (ii) repeat this same 10 steps for each shortcut individually.

Want to change your automations?
You can at any time open the 'Shortcuts' app > click 'Automations' to view your set-up > easily turn each automation off or back on.
